Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 6324
بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Transliteration
Bismika Allahumma amutu wa ahya
English Translation
"In Your name, O Allah, I die and I live."
When to Recite This Dua
Nighttime is often the most vulnerable period for those struggling with harmful habits. The quiet, the privacy, and the loneliness can amplify temptation. Reciting this dua before sleep is a conscious act of surrendering to Allah's protection through the night. Pair it with sleeping in a state of wudu and reciting Ayat al-Kursi for maximum spiritual shielding.
