Dua Before Entering the Bathroom (Privacy Protection)

Source: Sahih al-Bukhari 142, Sahih Muslim 375

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

Transliteration

Allahumma inni a'udhu bika minal-khubuthi wal-khaba'ith

English Translation

"O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the male and female evil spirits (devils)."

When to Recite This Dua

The bathroom is a place where many people fall into sin with their phones. The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught this dua to be said before entering the bathroom as protection from evil. Making this a conscious habit serves as a spiritual checkpoint — a moment to leave your phone outside and seek Allah's protection before entering a space where Shaytan can exploit your privacy.
