Dua for Seeking Forgiveness — Morning and Evening
Source: Sunan Abu Dawud 1517, graded Sahih
Transliteration
English Translation
"I seek the forgiveness of Allah the Mighty, whom there is no god but He, the Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him."
When to Recite This Dua
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said that whoever recites this, Allah will forgive them even if they fled from battle. Making istighfar a daily habit — morning and evening — builds a spiritual shield and keeps the door of repentance always open. It is especially important on days when you slip, as a reminder that Allah's forgiveness is always available.
